About Our Data
Acadara aggregates funded academic opportunities from over 200 sources worldwide. This page explains where our data comes from, how we keep it current, and what quality checks we apply — so you can apply with confidence.
Where the data comes from
Our listings are drawn from official university vacancy pages, national research council portals (UKRI, NWO, DFG, NSF, ANR), dedicated funding databases, and institutional RSS feeds. Every listing includes a direct link to the official source so you can verify details independently before applying.
How often we update
The database is refreshed daily via automated pipelines that check for new postings, deadline changes, and closed positions. Listings marked 'active' have been verified within the last 7 days. If you spot an error or a listing that should be removed, email us at hello@acadara.co.
What we check before publishing
Before a listing goes live, our pipeline verifies: (1) the opportunity URL resolves to an active page; (2) a funding amount or tuition waiver is explicitly stated; (3) the deadline is in the future or marked rolling. Listings that fail these checks are held for manual review.
What we don't do
Acadara is a discovery and application tool — we are not a funding body. We do not administer scholarships, process applications, or influence admission decisions. We do not sell or share your profile data with universities or funding bodies.
AI-assisted content
Some opportunity descriptions are summarised or translated using AI to improve readability. In all cases the original source link is preserved and displayed. Research reports and blog posts published on Acadara are written and edited by the Acadara editorial team.
